Chapter 2: Leaving day

Well, we’re as ready as we could be. We got our bags all packed and we figured out what to keep and what not to. There’s apparently a ritual for Camino walkers where you’re supposed to take a picture outside your front door right before you leave. So…we did. We didn’t have a home to speak of necessarily, however, so we used our hotel room in Edmonton.

We continued to whittle down our bags and eventually got them down even more in weight.

We made it to the airport and got a quick coffee and breakfast before heading off to Calgary. Becky got flagged through security for her CPAP, and I didn’t get flagged at all.
