Vamoosed from the haunted museum fronting as a BNB early in the morning – and we weren’t too sad to say goodbye. Seriously – the place looked straight out of an Anne Rice novel and I’m pretty sure our room had poltergeist.

Blake and I returned to the same “American restaurant” we had dinner in the night before. Much to our delight – eggs and bacon…. The first eggs and bacon we’d had on the trip. The same company as the night before as well – the Brits were eating their Full-English, and we all chatted before hitting the road.

We checked out the cathedral of Santa Maria La Real before leaving town. We were told by the Brits it was quite stunning, however we had seen plenty of amazing Catholic Churches so far, and we were ready to be underwhelmed. It was – well – check out the video below.

The walk started easy – Blake and I coasted the first 10 K, just stopping once for water.

We found a cute little cafe at the 10 KM mark to air our feet and enjoy dos cafe con leches.

Lots of photo ops along the route today – dozens of vineyards and weird art installations (rock eyes). We snapped a few photos as we huffed on for the remaining 10 K, getting to our Albergue in record time.

Our Albergue is quaint and comfortable. We found a spot around the corner for some quick dinner (where we once again ran into our British friends) and as today was a pretty light walking day, we went and checked out the riverfront for a quick stroll.

I’m off to bed before I turn into a pumpkin (Blake is already asleep at the late hour of 8:30 PM). We love you all and thanks for following along! Xoxo Becky

Haha…..rock eyes! Definitely a stop and smell the roses moment. You now have a mystery to solve for all of us. As before the scenery is amazing. Take care of each other we all want to see what’s down( or up ) the road

Sounds like things are looking up! So glad both your feet and blood sugar are in the right direction. Have some fun along the way and also a glass of wine for me, I bet it is AMAZING (low-key jealous)
The rock eyes are a tad creepy – so many meanings but I like best that they are a form of good luck.
We are loving the journey, can’t wait to read more!
